The great question that has never been answered and which I have not been able to answer despite my thirty years of research into the feminine soul, is "What does a woman want?"

Fifteen Things to Do at Wal-Mart

...while your wife is taking her sweet time...

Well, it would be 15 except I edited some out for content...

I was digging through some old emails when I came across this on. It's pretty funny, I think. These are things you could do when you are otherwise bored at Wal-Mart

MmmMmm, Soup is Good Food

Something We've Been Wanting to Do

I made a soup today as kind of an appetizer. It wasn't all that hard, but it turned out very delicious.

The idea came from a brewery/restaurant in Sioux Falls. They call theirs Ale 'n Cheddar soup. The one I made was a simplification of a Beer and Cheese Soup.

Lookit What I Did

I Won!

I'm not one to use eBay all that often, and when I do, I prefer the "Buy it Now" option. But, here is an item I bid on...and won. This makes the fifth item I've purchased through eBay, second by bidding.

A Funeral Sermon

John 11:17-27

In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear friends and family of Louise and the family of God here at First English, Jesus declares, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

Life and death...in this world of decay and sin the two seem to go hand-in-hand. And, we must be frank, unless the Christ returns in glory in our lifetime, we, too, will see death. When you stop to think about it, this realization can be rather frightening. Despite pain and sorrow, trial and suffering, we become accustomed to life, such that the thought of losing one's life can strike fear in even the bravest of souls. How much more so when we mourn over the loss of a loved one?

Hee Hee Hee Hee Hee, White Out!

Finally...Maybe

You may recall from this entry that we had a blizzard here in November (November 28, to be exact). Well, the following day I tried digging out of the house using a little 3 hp, single-stage snow thrower from my mother-in-law (one that she had and gave to us since she wouldn't use it anymore). It broke. Literally. The work was too much and the chute shot off.
