Tychicus is Dead
...so long file server...
My longtime computer, Tychicus, has died. I think the power supply went. No big problem, really, the data on the hard drives should be okay; and this is important because we used Tychicus as a home network file server.
So, I took the big hard drive out and placed it in another computer. The main partition is okay, where most of the data is kept. However, the second partition cannot be read (it gave me some sort of semaphore error...I don't remember which). Unfortunately, that's where all the backups are kept as well as all my sermons.
It's a lot of work that has been lost (unless I can find a way to recover it), but it's not the end of the world, thank goodness. Still, it is a little disheartening.
