A few friends clued me in to these videos. Basically, it doesn't matter if you're innocent or guilty, if you're being interviewed/interrogated by the police, don't say anything, whether or not your lawyer is there.

I'd say the biggest thing I got out of it was the whole Miranda statement, which says, in part, that what you say can be used against you; it says nothing about being used for you. Secondly, that which you said can be used in part or out of context against you; you may mean well, but the opposing counsel can and will twist your words (maybe not the cops). So, the best thing to do is not give them anything. Plead the 5th, they cannot make you talk—they cannot force you to talk—it is against the law.
