So, after hacking away the forest that was our back yard, and I do mean forest, I realized that the soles of the shoes I normally wear were falling off. It was off to the mall after nap time to get some new ones.

The other day, when we took Robert to the Dentist, Mikaela and I walked over the mall. To kill some time, we walked into a shoe store, and they had a sale on these model shoes (in four colors, of those shown on the site, only the Silver/Black/Blue ones; and for much less than shown on the site). At the time, my thought was, "Nice shoes, but I don't need any right now. The ones I have right now work just fine."

Of course, had I not seen them and thought that, the only thing lost now would be the irony. So, today I got a pair. They were still on sale. I was hoping to get a black and red pair (think the Silver/Black/Blue ones from the site, but with red instead of blue and with less or no silver), but they didn't have any of those in my size. But I got a pair in another color combo that I like; they're yellow and a color they call cargo, which is a khaki or tan color.

So, that makes for today's entry...
