Our kids are learning Algebra and Calculus, are expected to memorize the periodic table and to read Shakespeare. Their marching-band routines are ever more complicated, and they are supposed to know all the plays in the playbook. But when it comes to church, we say, "Don't bother me with the details."

Zoo Day

So, We Have an Early Entry

The Oregon Zoo is offering discounted admission today, so we're taking advantage of it and bringing the kids for a bit of a field trip. I mean, it's not as if they haven't been to zoos before, but it's never a bad idea to have a refresher. And, it's an excuse to get out of the house and out of town for a bit.

That being the case, this entry is being written early. So early, in fact, that it's still June 8 where I am (but June 9 where the servers are...so it counts).

Expect a picture or two in the moblog above, most likely involving one or both kids. We'll have fun. We'll have stress, too. But, we'll have fun. And, it's a zoo; zoos are always fun!

Man is the only animal that can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them.
