ATTN: Visitor Using Swift Ventures, Inc. of Seattle

208.99.195.54

I don't know who you are, but I do know that you're visiting my site. You seem to be voting entries good or bad at random. Why? I mean, I'm not bothered by votes one way or another, but the randomness (or apparent randomness) makes me wonder.

Well, here's your chance to come clean. Don't just vote...comment.

Well, We're Oregonians

At least, according to the Oregon DMV, we are. Now, we just need to convert our car (thankfully, that's in the process).

Congratulations Al!

Hockey Hall of Fame 2007 Inductees

When I first developed an interest in sports, I started out with Hockey. I jumped on the bandwagon of the best team that year, the Calgary Flames, and quickly developed an appreciation for the defense of the game and its blueliners. But one man got my interest more than others: Al MacInnis. He was my favorite player and still is my favorite player of all time.

Today, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Moving

Well, we're finally on the road...have been since Wednesday evening. Now, we're spending the night in Billings, Montana. Hey, they have internet access here...so, here I post. But, if I'm "silent" for a while, it's because I don't have or have limited access to the internet.

Birthday/Christmas Wishlist

No other fictional television series has impacted me more than this one, and that's saying a lot since I consider myself a fan of Star Trek (mainly Next Generation and their "generational" counterparts). So, no, this series isn't Star Trek.

Spying in Sports

Word out of the NFL is that the Patriots of New England are getting fined and losing a draft pick. Punishment for what? Spying on their opponents; at least, video taping their defensive signs. That doesn't sound like too big of an infraction, to me, anyway. So you got their signals on tape. So would I, if I recorded the game from TV and the camera panned over to the signals being given. So, what's the big deal?

Still, the events of the NFL are not the topic of this entry.

Guilty Pleasure

I Can't Believe I Watch This Show

I'm not a Stan Lee fan by any stretch of the imagination. But, I'm finding myself drawn into his show on the Sci-Fi channel. No, not finding myself, I have found myself drawn to it since last season. There's no real reason for me to like "Who Wants to Be a Superhero?"

Divine Call

Time to Deliberate

I've made all of the official notifications.

Now, I can comfortably let the rest of the world know (or, at least those who visit my page). I have received a divine call to serve as pastor of St. Peter the Fisherman Lutheran Church in Lincoln City, Oregon.

So, now begins the deliberation process.

Where Were You When Bonds Hit 756?

Or, Where Will You Be?

I didn't notice...didn't follow. Flipping through the channels this evening I happened upon ESPNEWS. We don't always get it—maybe a few hours a day on our cable provider's "information" channel—so I don't normally get to watch it. Anyway, I noticed in their "Breaking News" section of the ticker that Bonds hit career homerun number 755. I didn't even know he was playing today...

So, the question is going to be asked: "Where were you..." for the historic event. When he hits number 756, he will have surpassed Hank Aaron for most career homeruns. Undoubtedly, people will be glued to their television screens for the rest of tonight's game and the dozen or so games following until he hits the historic mark.

Not me, I don't care...as if you could tell by the fact I felt the need to write a blog entry about it.
