MacBook Update

hmmm

Seems I had completely forgotten about this category. Well...

When I first got the MacBook, I mentioned that it needed to have the battery serviced. That was over three years ago.

In July 2018, I purchased a new battery for it. The old one finally got to the point that it was swelling and pushing the track pad up, causing it to break through the deck.

Otherwise, I'm using it still, transporting it back and forth to the office for work and using it at home for general computing needs.

Hey, Look What I Can Do

Mac & PS4

So, yesterday the PlayStation 4 received a new firmware. This firmware has a feature, among others, that can let a player do so remotely using a Windows 8.1 or above or Mac OSX Yosemite or above computer. There's an app that I downloaded to my Mac which I then connected to my PS4. Hook up a controller via USB to the Mac, and right on my computer's screen is the game I'm playing. It works pretty good—a little better than the same function on the PSVita, I would say.

A New (to me) Computer Means a New Category

my first real adventure with Mac OSX

About three weeks ago, I walk into my office to see a note and a white object under it on my desk. "Dear Pastor, I found this cheap at a thrift store," the note read (or something like that). "If you can get it to work, it's yours." Under the note was a late-2009 model 13" MacBook.
