What's Going On
Temperature Tolerance
In less than a week, we will be starting our second winter not in South Dakota. Only our second. Currently, however, as Autumn ends, we find ourselves in a little bit of an "Arctic blast." Temperatures have dipped into the mid 20s Fahrenheit (-5 to -3 Celsius); below freezing, sure, but not frigid like what we had experienced back on the plains.
But, like I said, this is only our second winter outside of South Dakota. Man, does it ever feel cold. I'm not as tolerant to the cold as I used to be. Is it because we now live in an area where the difference between the highest high of the year and lowest low are not as great as they are back in South Dakota? Is it because it normally doesn't get this cold (or get this cold for long) here? But, again, we haven't been here that long...
