I Don't Want It

Windows and Me

I don't know. Maybe it's the Mac commercials. Maybe it's the fact that I primarily use Ubuntu Linux. Most likely it's a combination of both (but mostly my use of Linux). I don't want Windows Vista. In fact, I don't want Windows anything. I can't think of a reason to keep it should I ever get another computer.

Dear Barack Obama

What's to say a vote for you will matter?

Seriously, I'm tired of all of your political ads saying that we can change not only the White House, but all of Washington [D.C.], [merely by voting for you]. It's nothing but endless political rhetoric. The same goes for the rest of your message; we've heard it all before—reaching across the aisle, working together, etc. We've heard this for too many years already.

I doubt a vote for you will do that. I doubt you can do that. I'm not saying I believe you will or will not try. I'm saying I believe your promises will go unfulfilled. I'm saying I believe you're saying these things without any real hope of actually being able to accomplish them.

Ugh

You Mean It's Only Saturday?

I am so emotionally spent today it feels like a Sunday afternoon/evening. Then, I look at my computer's clock and see that it's only still Saturday. Hopefully, I won't go to bed thinking tomorrow will be Monday, or...

It's About Time

to ethanol or not to ethanol

Ask my wife, and she will tell you that I am not a fan of ethanol because of the larger negative impact it has on the price of everything. Ethanol is derived mostly from corn to be used mostly as a fuel and fuel additive; flex-fuel vehicles that run on E-85 (85% ethanol, 15% regular gasoline) are the primary users of ethanol as a fuel; though many fuel stations sell gasoline with some smaller percentage of ethanol for use in normal engines.
